Allen Fishermen
From Streets to Service: Allen’s Story
Allen's story is a testament to the power of purpose and community. Growing up as the youngest of five boys in New York's Sugar Hill, he faced poverty, abuse, and the lure of street life. At 19, with a child on the way and a brush with the law that could have meant a 10-year prison sentence, Allen made a life-changing decision.
Embracing personal growth, he dove into community organizing, discovering his passion for empowering underserved communities. His experiences, from grassroots efforts in New York to mentoring young men in post-earthquake Haiti, shaped his understanding of true transformation.
Allen's journey from struggle to purpose led him to found Beyond Our Power™. Today, he leads with the wisdom gained from his own path, committed to mentoring the next generation of GameChangers. His story isn't just his own – it's a blueprint for the potential in every young man we serve.
